I think that OVERRULE will prove a tough nut to crack at the track he made his debut today, the son of New Bay went on to break his maiden tag at Redcar on heavy ground in good style and he is open to further progress as a 3 year old.

This is a fairly strong contest but I think his experience at the track along with experience in testing conditions will prove crucial and allow Danny Tudhope to steer him home.

Tim Easterby’s horse keeps coming back year after year and is a credit to his connections. He has ran good races off a big break before and he has conditions to suit on his seasonal reappearance today.

HYPERFOCUS ended his campaign strongly last season and I think he can start it strongly today, the bagging of a high draw, combined with a lack of pace in the high numbers could mean he gets a bit of a solo in front and if tuned up, he is more than capable of being involved at the finish.
