Todays Champions League treble starts in Naples where Napoli play host to Ajax after cruising to a 6-1 victory at the Johan Cruijff Arena. Napoli have now won 8 consecutive games in all competitions, 7 of which have included over 2.5 goals whilst Ajax with 1 win in 5 also all 5 games covering the over 2.5 goals margin. This shows both teams are lethal in front of goal and all signs point to a goal fest. Spalleti’s team were dominant last week managing 26 shots to Ajax’s 7 and an xG of 3.6.

Napoli to win and over 2.5 match goals is the main tip for the first of treble but also would look at the 3-1 Napoli score line.

The second part of the treble is in the Viktoria Plzen vs Bayern Munich game. After a convincing 5-0 win last Tuesday for Bayern the game was all but won after 21 minutes thanks to Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry and Sadio Mane goals. Plzen have lost all three of their opening Champions League ties at both half-time and full time, Conceding 12 and scoring 1 (in a 5-1 loss to Barcelona on Matchday 1).

Fortunes couldn’t be anymore different with Bayern scoring 9 times in this group and are still yet to concede. Bayern know with a win today they will progress to the knockout stages so attention will be fully on this game from Nagelsmann’s men.

With the outright betting pricing Bayern at 1/8, I have delved into Bayern keeping their defensive record clean and therefore Bayern to win to Nil at 11/10 seems like a good way to get involved.

For the final part we head to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium where Tottenham play host to Eintract Frankfurt. The group could not be anymore tighter with both teams sitting on four points and Lisbon topping the group on 6. A loss for either team would see their hopes of topping the group all but ended. Spurs currently have a perfect record at home with 5 wins in as many attempts and I expect them to continue that run this evening. The league form is a different story but Antonio Conte seems to sure it up for the big European ties proved by an average of just 1.33 goals conceded across their first 3 games in Europe. With Frankfurt also scoring just once over their opening 3 games it seems like a low scoring affair could be on the cards with Tottenham’s talisman just doing enough to get them over the line.

My bet for this game will be Tottenham to win and under 4.5 goals at 4/5. This still allows 4 goals in the game which as highlighted above should be enough.

TREBLE – 6.56/1

Napoli to win & over 2.5 match goals

Bayern Munich to win to Nil

Tottenham to win and under 4.5 goals
